Supporting Local Sporting Talent
One of the ways MegRyan gives back is through the sponsorship of talented local athletes.
We are proud sponsors of professional boxers Amos Mphande and Liam Fox, two athletes who
embody the values of discipline, determination, resilience, and hard work.
Amos Mphande
Amos Mphande has built an impressive reputation within the boxing community through his
dedication to the sport and his commitment to continuous improvement.
For Amos, boxing is more than a sport. It is a way of life built on discipline, courage, and
perseverance. His passion for the sport, combined with his work ethic, made him a natural fit for the
MegRyan family.
When Amos stepped into the ring in April 2026, the MegRyan team proudly stood behind him. More
than 30 staff members attended the event to show their support and celebrate his journey.
Although the judges' decision did not produce the result everyone had hoped for, Amos
demonstrated tremendous character and determination throughout the fight, going the full six
rounds against a higher-ranked opponent.
As a company, we remain incredibly proud of his performance and look forward to supporting him
as he continues his journey.
Liam Fox
MegRyan is also proud to support rising boxing talent Liam Fox.
After beginning his career in white-collar boxing, Liam made the bold decision to bypass the amateur
ranks and move directly into professional boxing.
His ambition, discipline, and commitment to excellence align closely with the values we encourage
both within our business and throughout our community.
Ranked among the country's top fighters, Liam continues to work towards his goal of competing on
the international stage.
We are excited to be part of his journey and look forward to celebrating his future achievements.
Supporting Youth Development Through Sport
Sport has the power to teach leadership, discipline, teamwork, and resilience — qualities that
extend far beyond the playing field.
MegRyan proudly supports youth sporting initiatives through sponsorships that help young athletes
access opportunities and resources they may not otherwise have.
One example is our sponsorship of the Laerskool Rynfield Rugby Team, where we assisted in
providing new rugby kits for the players.
By investing in young athletes, we hope to contribute towards their development both on and off
the field while encouraging a lifelong appreciation for teamwork and personal growth.
We have also supported youth sporting initiatives in Brakpan, contributing towards local school and
community sports programmes that continue to develop young talent within the area.
